The Costa Verde Hotel is located on a coastal rainforest bluff overlooking the Pacific beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park near Quepos, Costa Rica. Its many amenities make Costa Verde a perfect destination for those seeking adventure travel, ecotourism, sportsfishing or just the tranquility of white sand beaches and magnificent ocean views.
Just a few hundred yards from the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park, the Costa Verde Hotel features two cliff side pools with sundecks and spacious rooms and balconies, all offering a bird's-eye view of the Park's coastline plus rainforest canopy vistas dotted with native birds. Our full-service restaurant offers a broad selection of Costa Rican and international cuisine emphasizing fresh fruit and sea food dishes.
Many people have enjoyed the balmy ambiance and luxuriant rainforest setting of our restaurant terrace, with its opportunities to observe the diverse local wildlife up close. At times, you can sit at your breakfast table and almost reach out and touch the giant iguanas lounging in the branches!
ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotel Costa Verde offers spacious apartments planned for two distinct types of vacation living: air conditioned studio and efficiency apartments with cable TV, and Costa Verde II, a special group of 15 studios designed exclusively for couples with an open-air design and no air conditioning, glass windows or TV. Each area has its own swimming pool, special ambiance and vistas. Please be sure to specify which type of room would best accommodate you in our hotel.
For guests traveling with children, or who prefer air-conditioned rooms, we offer 520 square foot Studio apartments with one king-size and one full-size bed. Two pools are available in this area of the hotel. We have a total of 24 air-conditioned studios of this size, all with an ocean view; eight are Studio-Plus units with the best panoramic views. These studio units are equipped with ceiling fans, a powerful air-conditioner, a kitchenette and a large balcony.
We also offer 14 Efficiency units, featuring post & beam hardwood construction and air-conditioning. The units are located in three different areas. All of these units have two queen-size beds, ceiling fans, air conditioning, cable TV, kitchenette and balcony.
Our newest area, Costa Verde II is designed for couples seeking a more romantic getaway with a balmy, tropical ambiance. Each apartment features 750 square feet of space with expansive screened windows and doors that draw in ocean breezes and commanding rainforest or ocean views. Guests will enjoy a spacious balcony, two queen-size beds, kitchenette, and ceiling fans.
Eight Studio-Plus units offer direct, panoramic ocean views; six Studio units offer less-direct ocean and rainforest views; and the fifth-floor Penthouse, with two king-size beds, boasts a spectacular panoramic view of both land and sea. Studios in Costa Verde II do not have air conditioning or cable TV.
Casa Quinta & the two Bungalows are perfect places for those travelers interested in renting a private house, while still receiving all the amenities of the hotel. They sit above the main hotel area where they offer the sounds of nature as well as ocean and jungle vistas. Casa Quinta & the two Bungalows are connected to the reception by a short footpath and, naturally, maintain the hotel's proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park.
Not only do these houses come with the same daily services of a hotel room, but easy parking, a pool for the houses and a complete kitchenette where a guest can do their own cooking if they so choose.
RESTAURANTS

La Cantina BBQ : Across the street from the hotel entrance is our live-music restaurant & bar featuring seafood, chicken, steaks and ribs on an open wood fire. Enjoy our reggae trio--The Jungle Boys--every night from 7 to 11.
El Avión: The latest addition to Costa Verde, a bar and restaurant featuring informal dining, spectacular sunsets, and live music. The Ollie North's, 1954 model, C-123 Fairchild Provider moved from San Jose's international airport to Costa Verde. To make transportation possible, the aircraft had to be taken apart piece by piece, cut in half, and finally ferried to Port Quepos--3 miles from Costa Verde--where we put it back together for it's last flight of fantasy.
Costa Verde's thirty acres of untouched land serve as a natural corridor for native wildlife foraging between the National Park and the beach. Among many others, white-faced monkeys, iguanas, three-toed sloths, and a host of native birds, including aracaris, toucans and parrots, can be observed from anywhere on the premises, especially our private, 2 mile nature trail (guided tours available).
Troops of chirping squirrel monkeys often congregate in the nearby rainforest at dusk, providing a delightful distraction from our lecture and slide show. Manuel Antonio National Park comprises 1,685 acres and is one of the few remaining habitats of the squirrel monkey, one of 99 species of mammals found in the area.
The park also supports 353 species of birds and 138 species of trees (!) - a true testament to the area's rich ecological diversity. Its secluded beaches, breathtaking views and dramatic rocky headlands make it one of the most alluring parks in Costa Rica. Hiking, bird-watching, swimming and snorkeling are all popular pursuits in Manuel Antonio National Park. Other activities in the Quepos area include white-water rafting, sea kayaking, SCUBA diving, mountain biking and waterfall tours, to name a few. Quepos is also a sportfishing mecca that boasts an abundance of sailfish, marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo and amberjack. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy boat tours of Isla Damas, a mangrove swamp just north of Quepos.
Experienced guides offer opportunities to view the rare American crocodile and numerous snakes, including boa constrictors. Shell-collecting is also a popular pastime on Isla Damas.

Two bedrooms, each with queen-size beds, as well as living room where extra queen size bed is located. One bedroom has an independent air-conditioner. A small, half-bedroom has a single bed.
Bungalow A-13
Offers two bedrooms with separate entrances and balconies for each bedroom. The main room contains a king-size bed, a kitchenette, full bath, cable TV and internet network access. The second room contains two queen-size beds and a full bath. Five ceiling fans cool the rooms and one of the balconies offers a small ocean view.

One large studio containing three queen size beds, a kitchenette & two full bathrooms (one is quite small). Four ceiling fans cool the room.
