We offer 10 Sunset Terrace Suites - feature an open air terrace overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya; 10 Fountain Suites that provide the privacy of a master bedroom and 10 Classic Mountain Suites - offer the coziness of a fireplace.

El Sapo Dorado restaurant is known for the creativity, variety, flavor, freshness, and presentation of our food from breakfast to dinner. Our recipes all are unique or original adaptations of old favorites. Special dietary needs are easily accommodated with advance notice.

The restaurant bar is fully equipped and the staff is trained to prepare any classic delight as well as the most exotic cocktails. The restaurant has inside seating for nonsmokers as well as terrace seating with a view of the Gulf of Nicoya for those who enjoy a cigarette or pipe. Cigar smoking is not permitted.

With in minutes from the Hotel there is a variety of natural attractions like the Monteverde Cloud forest Preserve, the Santa Elena Rain Forest Reserve, the Bajo del Tigre Trail, the Canopy Tour, slide shows, the Butterfly Garden and the Serpentarium. You can easily find also horseback riding or mountain biking tours, the local Cheese Factory Tour, or artists studios and gift shops featuring items handmade by local artisans.

In addition El Sapo Dorado offers you five kilometers of self-guided trails adjacent to the hotel where you can explore both primary and secondary forests, open pastures and panoramic views of the Gulf of Nicoya. These trails are reserved for the exclusive use of our guests and offer a quiet alternative to the larger reserves.
